Challenge: To redevelop the Sotheby’s website from the ground up, focusing on UX, design and the restructuring of content.
Solution: The website’s sophisticated design is modern, streamlined and easily navigable, enabling people to locate real estate fitting their exact specifications. Through copious testing we optimised the functionality of the site, making the user’s life easier, whilst also improving the manner in which content was structured. The homepage includes an attractive slider featuring the latest properties, along with a map/search feature with quick and easy search functionality.
One of the site’s key features is the multiple dimensional hierarchies which allow for reverse navigation. In essence, users can search for specific criteria and these specifications will be remembered throughout the duration of their time on the site. All the links are SEO-friendly and the search bar includes a specific subject line which is another key tool.
Result: 229% increase in the number of the site’s indexed pages from June to July 2013, thus ensuring increased visibility to search engines. We achieved page one rankings in search results for all targeted suburbs.
